Moving Monday.....

We spent the weekend moving a lot of our stuff into storage. Our wonderful friends gave up a beautiful Sunday to help knock a majority of the move. We are supposed to close in September but we need to be out of our rental by the end of August so we are storing our stuff and bunking with our friends until our house is done.

In the bottom of my cedar armorior I bought second hand a few years ago there was old newspapers from the 50s. One was a Catholic Newspaper from this area and another was just the regular paper. It was neat reading about what was going on 60+ years ago.

The local goodwill has become our second home it seems, not complaining we need to get rid of this crap! It is funny how much stuff you actually accumulate in a short amount of time!!

However the good thing about moving is sometimes you get to pick out new stuff and while we can't buy it all at once, here are some things that are on my home wish list....

This is the only furniture we have found, agreed on and both said the price wasn't bad... I think I can do better though.

This beautiful peice will have to be a goodwill re-do, I am not paying the sticker on this bad boy.

these lamp shades to update our lamps...
Have you moved recently? If so any tips? Did you splurge on new stuff?

Goodbye Old, Hello New

1. Today is my last day at my current job. I am not nearly as sad as I thought I'd be. I am excited. Excited to see what the future holds and where my new job will take me.
2. This weekend is my last weekend in my apartment. In another two loads of stuff I will be officially living with Justin. Home is where the heart is....
3. Today we left Buster for the first time ALL day at the new house. Justin's dad is stopping by a little after 4 to check on him and give him a potty break since we will be home late (we are gathering another load today). It is a trial run that  needs  HAS to do well. He will be home for 8-9 hours a day now....
4. It is amazing weather here today. Perfect for moving. Please say a prayer that the rain holds off.
5. Last night I tried my first green beer. Please don't laugh.
6. I really wasn't sure how I would feel - new job, new house lots of new in my life. But I am 100% at peace with my choices and feel really REALLY good about everything. Justin seems to be too, at least I hope he is. HA
7. And last but not least, How 'bout those Mountaineers?! I love March Madness.

It's Just another Manic Monday....

My last week living in Morgantown and my last week at my current job. Lots of changes. Lots of good changes.

This weekend was nice. Friday we loaded up my Jeep and headed to Justin's our house. We cleaned up around his house tried to organize and get things settled but as you all know, when you move EVERYTHING is chaos.

We went to a local Coffeehouse to see two musicians Saturday night - Andrew McKnight and Lisa Taylor with Justin's parents. It was a really nice night and nice to have a break from the mess.

Sunday we enjoyed Saturday's break so much we decided to go shoot guns and enjoy the sunshine for a few hours. I took this picture with Justin's new Nikon D3100 - Can I just tell you that I lovvvvvvveeeee this camera. It is amazing. (so isn't he...bahah)

Today is my Nan's birthday, our first one without her. She was an amazing lady and one we all miss daily.

I had a mid morning massage today, it was just what I needed. Justin and I started back up with the C25K and my muscles are sore. I need to stretch better and more. Plus add in some more water! Although I am tight and sore today, the massage really helped and I am ready to run tomorrow :)

I have only an hour left of work, this daylight savings change has made today seem to fly by, even though I am tired today I will gladly take the sun staying out longer and the warmer temps mid day!

I am ready for this week to be over and for Justin and I to be settled into ONE home, together. Have a good week!
