Goodbye Old, Hello New

1. Today is my last day at my current job. I am not nearly as sad as I thought I'd be. I am excited. Excited to see what the future holds and where my new job will take me.
2. This weekend is my last weekend in my apartment. In another two loads of stuff I will be officially living with Justin. Home is where the heart is....
3. Today we left Buster for the first time ALL day at the new house. Justin's dad is stopping by a little after 4 to check on him and give him a potty break since we will be home late (we are gathering another load today). It is a trial run that  needs  HAS to do well. He will be home for 8-9 hours a day now....
4. It is amazing weather here today. Perfect for moving. Please say a prayer that the rain holds off.
5. Last night I tried my first green beer. Please don't laugh.
6. I really wasn't sure how I would feel - new job, new house lots of new in my life. But I am 100% at peace with my choices and feel really REALLY good about everything. Justin seems to be too, at least I hope he is. HA
7. And last but not least, How 'bout those Mountaineers?! I love March Madness.

7 quick Takes...

1. I am going to take the new job. The one I interviewed for and they debated. I am excited, scared and anxious. I am almost 100% sure this is the right choice. Justin is on board and so are our families. I am excited for the next chapter in my life to unfold.

2. I had my annual eye exam today. Perfect 20/20 vision.  The Dr. did recommend computer glasses because I spend so much time (at current job) on the computer. I may go ahead and get a cheap pair, can't hurt. Right?

3. Justin and I are going to visit my parents tonight to celebrate my Dad's 49th Birthday (it was yesterday). Not only am I excited to go home for a few hours, I am excited to play with my parents new pup, Alphie.

4. I washed Justin's brand new way too expensive phone. Oops :( Luckily, rice, a space heater and hair dryer were able to fix it. Sorry, Babe.
5. It is soon going to be March. I have slacked long enough running wise. It is time to bite the bullet and run.

6. Our football schedule was announced today, sadly not one home night (during the week) game this year. That is a huge fail in my opinion and I am very disappointed. On a positive note, this is Head Coach Stew's last year. That leaves little room for sadness and disappointment.

7. I went back to my roots. My dark haired roots. I actually like it. Right now. We shall see how dark I can be once the greys start popping back through....

Catching up

So Job #1 - They still aren't ready to make a choice.  They want to wait until the end of April. They want me to teach class in early April. I feel like they are stringing me a long. Not sure how I feel - the money, ah the money would be grand but for now I am going to chalk it up to not the right timing and move on.

I have an interview with another company Friday. I need something to give. For the love of everything, something give.  This job is less money, but summers and all school breaks off. I would maybe end up getting a part time job. I'd love to babysit under the table for the summer but again, we shall see.

Justin and I had an unexpected "double date" last night. I have been feeling horrible and exhausted. I did NOT feel like cooking so we headed to The Outback for a quick dinner and ran into his friends. It was nice eating with them...I only wished I'd done some makeup and not worn a sweatshirt. Sigh.

My dog and roommate's dog decided to trash my apartment last night. This is the FIRST (and better be last) time either one of them have ever done something like this. They both were sooooo sorry last night they didn't move. I was afraid of upset stomachs all night (knock on wood), so far so good.... I really came home and thought someone had broke in my apartment and trashed it. Silly (urrrr) dogs.

Justin is ordering his Nikon D90 ( I think, I maybe wrong what it is called) this weekend. I can't wait for him to get it so he can practice (or so I can take awesome pictures for the rest of the Days of Love Photo blog post)...

We are also going to visit my family Friday night for some dinner and what not, even though it seems so far away it is only a little over an hour so we will come home Friday night.

I am only working a half a day today (annual check up) then off tomorrow for the interview and what not. I am really hopeful and really excited. Please keep your fingers crossed for me :-)

Another Ramble...

  • I still haven't heard anything about the job. They said in the next two weeks. It is day 3 of week 1. Seriously people, you are killing me. Offer me the stupid job already. I want to work there. Please and thank you!
  • Tonight is a home WVU basketball game. I have enjoyed my season tickets and have loved going. I also enjoyed the price break my current job gives me on those season tickets.  If I get a new job the price break is gone and I will no longer be a season ticket holder. Plus with moving a gazillion hours away being a season ticket holder doesn't really work out.  Who knows, the way it is looking both Justin and I will be full time students so we may just brush off our student I.D. and sit in the student section for free....

  • I bought my book The Happiness Project I finished the intro last night, I will do a separate blog post about it, but let me just tell you I love it. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Seriously, if y'all are trying to figure out how to add a little more happiness into your already happy life...pick up the book and join the book club. You aren't too late!
  • Notice the countdown at the end of the blog, must start getting organized. Big things are happening sooner than later.

  • Justin and I are planning a stay-at-home Valentine's Day - he shows me every day a million ways how much he loves me...there is no reason to fight the crowds just to eat out because Hallmark tells me so, lol. I have already started to break out the V-Day decorations and make the house look festive... Do you have any cute DYI chap Valentine crafts? Do you have any ideas on what to do for a fun night at home? Any super good dinners to make? Movies to watch? Anything?
  • Speaking of  someone showing me how much he loves me, I came home to these (hydrangeas are my favorite flower) and yes, they were even already in the mason jar with the ribbon around it.
  • This morning when I was reading Sarah's blog when I came across this - (Sarah I plagiarized) "Willette Photography & More is offering a free class that focuses on finding the Joy of Love in your everyday life. They send out daily prompts for the month of February, along with photography tips & tutorials. Not only will this be fun to document our life this way, but I am really looking forward to all of the photography tips...as we all know I need them! You can go here to sign up if you'd like to participate, too." Now Sarah is wrong she doesn't need the photography tips, but I do. So I am going to start 2 days late. And I am excited.
  • Buster is mad at Justin. We aren't sure what is going on, or why he is so mad at him but he is acting like a little butthead. I will be spending a lot of time Googleing pet issues today.
  • It was warmer than it has been in a long time when I woke up today. I am so ready for spring, I can feel it in the air, luckily Phil didn't see his shadow (not that I believe in that) so hopefully spring will be here SOON!
